Storm brake / rail clamp operated manually type VZM

Manually operated storm brake / rail clamp to protect crane systems or railbound machines against unwanted movements e.g. storm.

  • Manual closing / opening
  • Restraining forces of up to 100 kN per clamp
  • Lifting device for clamp lever with clamping jaws
  • Limit switch monitoring for clamp position
  • Lateral compensation for rail misalignment via sliding housing ± 25 mm, Guidance of the sliding housing via guide rollers (RF) or with hand lever (MP) for lateral positioning
  • MADE IN GERMANY.

  • MP version (manual positioner): The clamp jaws are lifted above the top of the rail when the clamp is opened, so there is no risk of collision for the clamp jaws
  • RF version (roller guide): The clamp jaws are lifted above the top of the rail when the clamp is opened, so there is no risk of collision for the clamp jaws. However, the roller guide stays in the positions to the side of the rail head and is at risk of collision.
