Hydraulically operated storm brake / rail clamp to protect crane systems or railbound machines against unwanted movements e.g. storm.

  • Hydraulic closing and opening
  • Restraining / holding forces up to 256 kN per clamp

  • Using a hydraulic power unit with pressure storage
    Optional: Closing via pressure reservoir with power blackout / self-acting at power failure

Type VZH available in 3 versions:

1. With hand pump, NOT self-acting at power failure!
2. With hydraulic power unit, WITHOUT self-acting at power failure!
3. Hydraulic power unit with pressure storage, self-acting at power failure!

Additional to own brand production, RFT is specialized in repairing storm brakes / rail clamps of other brands due to in-house production flexibility.

Rail clamps show wear due to the fact that they are in use over many years, which means they no longer have the neccessary safety levels required.
